When work becomes play, they say, it transforms into second nature. My creative process begins with ideation, often sparked by abstract concepts. This approach shaped my earlier professional art practice, where a significant portion of my work consisted of ink illustrations. I break down ideas into simple truths – black or white – expressed in raw, fluid, dynamic forms. I’m drawn to lines and how their simplicity can tell human stories.

While I have over 200 of these ink illustrations on acid-free paper (not included here), I still brainstorm and ideate using this old method, treating it as a form of play when I’m bored, not writing, or not reading. I’ve just updated these few for you to enjoy. Enjoy!
